Scarborough, Britain’s first Holiday resort has been welcoming visitors for over 30 years. Today, it is a delightful, bustling seaside town catering for the whole family. The safe, sandy beaches of the North and South Bays, separated by Scarborough Castle on its rocky headland, are only yards away from the busy shopping centre. Splendid Victorian buildings, parks and gardens abound and local entertainment promises something for everyone. Traditional seaside fun, a working harbour, cliff top walks, cultural heritage sites plus a host of theatres, nightclubs, restaurants and pubs mean that, day or night, there’s always plenty to see and do.

St Helens nestles on the edge of the beautiful North York Moors National Park, alongside the rich Vale of Pickering and close to the rolling Yorkshire Wolds. It’s an ideal base to explore the outstanding natural beauty of Yorkshire. With historic York only an hours drive away, Whitby to the North and Beverley, Driffield and Bridlington to the South there’s always plenty to discover.
NYMR steam trains journey from Pickering, 18 miles through the spectacular moorland scenery. The magnificent Castle Howard, country houses at Sledmere and Burton Agnes, ancient castles and abbeys, picturesque villages, plus a wealth of exciting attractions all await exploration in this wonderful country.
St Helens in the Park is at the centre of Dawnay Estate, based around the family home of the 12th Viscount Downe. The Estate forms the hub of the many rural businesses which can be viewed via the top red menu bar.
