The Dawnay Estates are located near Scarborough and Whitby on the North Yorkshire east coast. Scarborough and Whitby are the two local coastal towns and access by road is excellent from York and the A1 via the A64, and from the A1/A19 via Stokesley and Guisborough to Whitby. There are rail links to Scarborough from York and to Whitby from Middlesborough.
