• ANGLERS should be in possession of a valid Environment Agency Rod Licence before commencement of fishing. • Anglers must be in possession of either a Season Ticket or valid Day Ticket, available from the main lodge, before fishing commences. • Fishing will commence/finish at the times displayed at the fishery entrance. • Each angler may use only one rod at any one time, using conventional fly rod and reels etc. • Fishing is by traditional fly-fishing methods only, such as wet fly, dry fly. nymphs or buzzers. Spinners and flies such as Boobies are not allowed. • Bait fishing is strictly forbidden. • Barbless hooks only, subject to a maximum hook size 8 longshank. No double or treble hooks are to be used. • A maximum of 3 hook points per cast may be used (i.e. 3 single flies). • A minimum tippet of 6lb is recommended. • Anglers must have a suitable landing net available. • Anglers must attain their bag limit before continuing on a Catch & Release basis • The bag limit for Season Ticket Holder’s is 2 fish per visit. • Bag limits must be completed before any catch and release is practised. Additional fish must be paid for on completion of fishing. • All Brown Trout are to be returned. • Fish being returned are to be handled as carefully as possible. • Any fish showing signs of bleeding or stress should be killed and count towards the bag limit. • Tickets are not transferable and rod sharing is not permitted. • Accurate returns are essential if the quality of the fishing is to be maintained. Details of all fish caught and killed are to be recoded in the register situated in the Lodge. Nil returns should also be recorded. • Wading is allowed to waist level only. • Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. • Anglers have access to the lake shoreline and the immediate area of the fishery. Anglers must not enter the adjoining forestry land, water or Quarry boundaries. • An angler may bring one non-fishing companion to the fishery. He/she must remain with the angler at all times or remain in the cabin or car park area. • All persons visiting the fishery do so at their own risk and the management and owners accept no responsibility for any injury, loss or damage to persons or property howsoever caused. • Vehicles are restricted to the main car park areas. Unless authorised by the management (ie – for disabled access etc) • Anglers and visitors are expected to behave in a gentlemanly manner at all times and are expected to respect the countryside and wildlife at all times. • Dogs and radios are prohibited. • The management reserve the right to expel or refuse admission to any person who is deemed to have broken any of the Fishery Regulations or to have behaved in such a manner as to require them to leave the site. THE PURCHASE OF A SEASON OR DAY TICKET IS CONSIDERED AN ACKNOWLEDGEMENT AND ACCEPTANCE OF THESE RULES
LITTER WILL NOT BE TOLERATED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES AND ANGLERS WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE THE FISHERY IF IN BREACH OF THIS RULE |
