Short term grazing lets are offered on an annual basis but more permanent farming units are let on Farm Business Tenancies for between 5 and 30 years dependant on the circumstances.
Land types vary from steep grass slopes and hill farms at Danby near Whitby (suitable for dairy, beef and sheep) to productive loams over limestone or gravel at Wykeham and at the eastern end of the Vale of Pickering, (suitable for combinable crops, potatoes and sugar beet).
