The Red Oak (Quercus rubra) has sharply and heavily lobed dark-green foliage which turns wonderful shades of red with hints of  bronze in the autumn hence its common name.

Quercus rubra is a large growing tree reaching a height and spread of 10 x 8 metres in 20 years. Suited to most soils and will tolerate exposure.
