Field Maple
Acer campestre Elegant
A selection of our native field maple that is more regular in the shape of the head. This tree grows to a medium size of around 10 metres tall and does well on chalky soils.
It has a dense canopy and is very tolerant of pruning so can be an excellent tree for screening. The subtle spring blossom looks frothy from a distance. Autumn colour is a striking golden-yellow.
Usually in stock as container trees from about 12cm to 18cm girth or more.
