Garrya elliptica

Garrya elliptica (Silk Tassel Bush) is a large, vigorous, bushy evergreen shrub with tough leathery oval leaves which are are dark glossy green on top, with undersides that are felted grey. In winter to early spring, the shrub is covered in long, silver/grey catkins, 20cm long (20 cm), dangling like Christmas decorations.
