Deutzia kalmiiflora has clusters of deep pink buds covering most branches of this elegant arching deciduous shrub in late spring opening to star-shaped blooms of pale pink. The flowers are highly attractive to bees, and by autumn the bright green foliage takes on attractive purple tones. Deutzia is a lovely compact and low-maintenance shrub for sunny or partly shaded borders. Height and spread: 1.5m.
