Magnolia
Magnolia soulangiana
Vigorous multi-stemmed large shrub, with broadly-spreading habit, that makes a real statement as a front garden specimen or for structure in a mixed border. Deciduous. Large goblet-shaped, thick and fleshy, pale pink-purple flowers, creamy-white stained purple inside, flowers produced in mid-spring before leafing-out.
The classic Magnolia with goblet shaped pink flushed white flowers in early spring. Prefers a sheltered site on a rich, moist (but not wet), preferably acid soil.
Available as bushes 120cm to 175cm tall.
