Cornus alba 'Spaethii
Red-barked dogwood 'Spaethii' (Cornus alba 'Spaethii') is a medium-sized deciduous, suckering shrub with bright red stems in the winter. The deciduous leaves are ovate with bold yellow margins and the flowers cream in flattish clusters followed by blue white berries which persist into winter. An excellent plant for wet soils and will grow well in either full sun or shade. Ultimate height about 250cm but can be cut back hard to maintain size.
