Erman’s Birch
Betula ermanii
Betula ermanii or Erman’s Birch tree has creamy-white with hints of pale lemon bark..
The foliage is dark-green and emerges alongside brown-yellow long catkins in the spring. The foliage turns a beautiful butter yellow in the autumn.
While not a fastigiate tree it is certainly taller than it is wide when fully grown.
The tree will grow in most soils including damp ones and will tolerate some exposure.
