Purple leaved Norway maple
Acer Platanoides Royal Red
A lovely tree with large palmate purple leaves throughout the growing season. These leaves then turn a bright ruby red in the autumn. It tolerates most soil types, air pollution and is drought tolerant. it's mature height is around 10-15 metres in the north of England.
An excellent purple leaved tree growing to a medium size. Excellent as a stand alone specimen. The dark purple colour adds the illusion of depth or distance to a garden, and makes an ideal contrasting backdrop to brighter colours.
Available as: Usually in stock from 12cm to 16cm girth.
